We have all had those sleepless nights, of tossing and turning until sunrise. The lack of beauty sleep can really take a toll on your physical appearance come morning. Don’t worry there is no need to look tired. Here are some helpful tips to help you look bright- eyed and bushy – tailed , even if you haven’t slept the night before.
Eye Drops
When you haven’t slept a wink, your eyes can get very dry, red and irritated. A few drops in each eye, is all it takes to reduce redness, and irritation.
Cold Water
Splashing your face with a bit of cold water when you wash your face can really help wake you up, on those morning when you are really exhausted.
Exercise
Getting your heart pumping and your blood flowing releases endorphins and can give a jolt of energy needed to handle the day ahead of you. All that blood flow, can also help to warm up your complexion and give you a nice healthy glow.
Reduce and Conceal Sleepy Under Eyes
When you not well-rested you can get under eye bags. By applying a few cool cucumbers you can help reduce the puffy under eyes bags. Also dabbing a little concealer under your eyes, will help to conceal the dark, circle and shadows that can appear after a late night. Try a concealer such as the Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit, that is very creamy and blends well to help conceal those dark circles and shadows that can sometimes spring up after a long, hard, sleepless night.
Avoid Dark Colors
Do not apply dark colors to your eyelids. Especially avoid shadow colors such as black and dark grays. These colors can make the dark, circles and shadows underneath your eyes look worse. Go for brighter colors of shadow. Avoid applying dark eyeliner. Instead try applying white eyeliner, to your waterline. This will bring out the whites of your eyes, making you look more awake. Make sure you blend very well so that the white liner looks natural, and so that you don’t have stark white line under your eyes.
A light lavender color eyeliner, such as The Eyeliner Intense Crayon Eyeliner in Lilac from Dolce and Gabanna can also work well to make your eyes look bright and fresh despite a lack of sleep.
Enhance the Lashes
A light coat of mascara can do wonders for making your look awake. Just don’t overdo it, try using a brown mascara instead a harsh black color.
Brighten Your Complexion
Applying a dab of blush on to your cheekbones, can really brighten your complexion, and make look well-rested and wide awake.
Sip Some Coffee<
Lastly let yourself have a cup (or two) of coffee in the morning. The caffeine can help to wake up your sleepy brain, and make you much more alert to take on the demands of your busy day
