Ribbon is the name of one of the perfumes from the Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling collection. The collection originally came out around 2010, and is still popular today. I’ve been really curious about this fragrance for quite some time, ever since I started seeing it stores and magazines. So I decided to give it a try.
The first time that smelled this perfume, I was amazed. I envisioned that since this perfume was part of the Lollipop Bling collection that it would smell like, well lollipops. Or maybe some sort of really saccharine sweet candy perfume. Well, not quite. Although this perfume does smell very sweet, it still has a very floral scent to it as well. This fragrance smelled kind of like a cross between a summery floral bouquet and marshmallows. At first I only smelled the floral part of the scent, but after a second or so there was a subtle “after smell” of a very distinct candy sweet, marshmallow-like fragrance.
Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Bling Ribbon is not an eau de toilette, but instead an eau de parfum, meaning that it is a heavier more concentrated scent. Even though it’s classified as eau de parfum the scent is still rather light and airy. Smells similar to a really sweet spring breeze. Like the name, Lollipop Bling, may suggest the bottle conveys a sense of sweet, playful fun, and is embellished with some “butterfly bling.” At the top of this adorable bottle, there is a small glass blue butterfly. When you remove the butterfly you can see the spray pump. One really cool feature about this bottle is the way that the bottle start off as a light almost transparent pink and gradually transitions to become a shade of bright baby blue.
This perfume has a very youthful vibe (which could be why it has been so heavily advertised in the teen and young adult magazines). This perfume could be described as sweet, fun and energetic, and is probably would be the type of perfume that most likely a teen or young adult woman would probably enjoy wearing, in the warm months of the year such as late spring and summer.
Keep this going please, great job!
That’s our goal, Sono, to keep it going 🙂
